Page is What Wisconsin Needs
This letter to the editor, by Peg Audley, appeared in the Hudson Star Observer on September 26, 2024.
Alison Page gives residents of the 30th Assembly District a chance to secure the kind of informed and effective representation that we haven’t had for many years.
Alison Page, a lifelong resident of River Falls, is focused on making Western Wisconsin a great place to live, work, and raise a family. She has demonstrated her commitment to public service as a member of the River Falls Board of Education, as well as by her service on the boards of Adoray Home Health and Hospice and of the Kinnickinnic River Land Trust.
Alison Page began her health career as a registered nurse, and eventually became the CEO of Western Wisconsin Health. She’s made a career of strengthening rural health care and bringing people together to get things done.
Alison Page is the AD 30 Representative that we need now. Western Wisconsin is facing a health care crisis. The closure of two hospitals and 19 clinics has made it extremely difficult for many people in this area to access medical and mental health care. Governor Evers was able to win bipartisan support for $15 million in crisis funding to reduce the impact of those closures, but Republican leadership is refusing to spend the money. The current AD 30 Representative, Republican Shannon Zimmerman, sits on the Republican-controlled Joint Finance Committee that has refused to release this money for health care that has already been approved by the Legislature and the governor.
Unlike the incumbent AD 30 Representative, Alison Page understands our critical needs for medical and mental health care services, and she will not block our receiving what we need now.
If you want quality health care and leadership that can also address other issues facing Wisconsin, too, elect Alison Page as our next AD 30 Representative.
