Disgraceful

This letter to the editor, by Wes Caine, appeared in the Hudson Star Observer on March 20, 2025.

In his first couple of months in office, our President had done everything he can to help Putin defeat Ukraine. First, he calls Zelenski a dictator and accuses Ukraine of starting the war. Then he humiliates Zelenski while trying to extort mineral rights from Ukraine. Next he cuts off military aid, while cutting off critical US intelligence agency’s eyes and ears from Ukraine. Little noted, Doge has eliminated the agencies that oversee compliance with sanctions on Russia. Lastly, our President has demanded that Ukraine throw up the white flag in the name of peace while Russia’s economy is failing.

What has our President done for Ukraine? He has done nothing. Our President is still fuming over the fact that Zelensky did not “dig up dirt” on Biden. We were warned in the Mueller report years ago that Trump had a connection to Putin. Politics overrode the truth. I can’t believe that America is standing by and letting Trump throw Ukraine under the bus. Will politics once again override. Do you hear this Johnson and Tiffany? You are complicit.
