What’s at stake this November

The decision before us: Democracy—or fascism
We’re not going to sugarcoat it.
Trump’s second term, enabled by his weirdly fringe Project 2025 blueprint and the Supreme Court immunity decision, would be catastrophic—throwing America’s door to fascism wide open and ending democracy as we know it.
A frightening thought that won’t become our reality—if we work together.

What is Project 2025?
Drafted by conservative extremists, Project 2025 is a roadmap for concentrating control of the federal government under Trump and stripping away the remaining checks on his power.
The resulting change will be immediate, sweeping, radical, and repressive.
Drawing harsh reaction, Trump is now trying to distance himself from Project 2025; he claims he’s unfamiliar with the players involved. Don’t believe him. Six former Trump Cabinet secretaries and more than 140 administration staff contributed to the plan, and his campaign’s national press secretary appears in its recruitment video.
What would a second Trump term mean?
The presidential priorities outlined in Project 2025 and in Trump’s campaign speeches include:
Prosecuting political opponents
Pardoning insurrectionists
Deporting protestors exercising free speech rights
Purging thousands of federal government experts in favor of Trump loyalists
Empowering Trump to withhold congressionally appropriated funds
Giving Trump control over independent agencies, like the Department of Justice
Dismantling key federal departments, including the Department of Education
Eliminating early childhood education program, Head Start
Putting more guns in schools
Clawing back student loan forgiveness
Removing the emergency abortion pill, mifepristone, from the market
Building a surveillance state to track women and healthcare providers
Enacting lifetime caps for Medicaid recipients
Cutting Social Security and Medicare
Cutting taxes for the wealthy and corporations, paid for by working-class Americans
Raising the retirement age
Imposing tariffs that raise prices on household goods, like groceries, clothing, and medicine
Slashing renewable energy research and investment
Opening important, scenic public lands for energy extraction
Dismantling the EPA, threatening our clean air and water
Reinstating and expanding the racist Muslim ban
Building detainment camps and executing mass deportations
Ending acknowledgment of gender identity and LGBTQ+ people
Enacting policies that support the formation of straight families
The choice is up to us
We believe that if people understand the stakes, if they believe a brighter future is possible, they will turn out on Election Day—and you can play a meaningful part in this fight for democracy.
