Karen Sweeney
Volunteer Coordinator
Karen Sweeney is the Volunteer Coordinator for the St. Croix County Democrats. She moved from Minnesota to North Hudson in 2017 to be closer to her daughter and her family. She has volunteered for SCCD the last two presidential election cycles - starting small in the office in 2020 and then adding phone banking and canvassing in 2024. She fervently hopes for a day when civil and constructive conversations about how to solve problems is the "norm" in political discourse.
Karen has spent her career in information technology and currently serves as Vice President of Research and Development for a company in the Twin Cities. In her new role as Volunteer Coordinator, Karen will work closely with the rest of the Leadership team to grow and strengthen the relationship between our community and the Democratic party.
